The general principle is that visitors and members shall conform to the best of golf standards on both the Course and in the Clubhouse and be of smart and tidy appearance.
These dress rules are for the guidance of members and visitors and are intended to be open, understandable and workable and to be consistent with standards of dress considered acceptable at modern-day Golf Clubs.
All golf style shirts, including turtleneck
Ladies may wear sleeveless golf shirts
Tailored shorts
Recognised golf shoes
Sleeveless shirts for men, football or rugby shirts
Shirts with large lettering or numbers
Track suits
Blue denim jeans
Football, rugby or beach shorts
Football or rugby socks or no socks at all
Anything other than recognised golf shoes
Smart casual
Wet waterproofs
The rules are not intended to be fully prescriptive, and are in some cases open to interpretation, but Members are expected to take personal responsibility for observing standards of dress that reflect well on themselves and the Club.
Visitors, visiting societies, visiting teams and those participating in open competitions are required to comply with these dress rules. Members must ensure that their individual guests are advised accordingly.
Juniors are encouraged to dress in consideration to this Dress Code.
